Personal Details

I am from Wicklow, married to Linda with two young children. I am best known through my involvement with St Patricks GAA club of Wicklow Town and now with Newtown. I have represented both St Patricks and County Wicklow on the football field both as a player and later as a manager.

I am a first time candidate in the forthcoming County Council and Wicklow Town Council elections. I am committed to bringing energy, dynamism and accountability to local government. My pledge to the people is to strive to make our town and county a better place for our families to work and live. It is only through your support that this can be achieved.

It is clear that the current turbulent times have shattered public confidence, as more of our people feel left behind. There is a perception that our concerns are not being listened to. Our people need the strongest representation possible. I believe I can deliver a vigorous point of view that will represent our people. I am committed to listening to the people and will address their concerns, communicating them directly at the council table.

Through my involvement in sports and community activities, I am keenly aware of the importance of promoting community development on behalf of both the young and the old. As a determined community focused person, I, when elected, will provide competent and compassionate representation for all the people in Wicklow East.

Local government impacts on our lives, I would appreciate any support that you could give me to ensure that this is a positive experience.

Employment Throughout my career, I have worked as a public servant.
