Personal Details

Darragh was born and reared in Malahide. He was educated in Pope John Paul’s National School and Malahide Community School. "I have gained a great appreciation of the issues that matter to you the voter since I was elected as your local councillor in 2004. As a past president of Fingal Chamber of Commerce, I am well aware of the needs of the business community. Working for Friend’s First I am the Manager for Area North covering the North County Dublin area for a number of years."

Fianna Fáil Senator Darragh O’Brien has hit out at the Government for refusing to accept constructive proposals on helping people whose homes are destroyed by pyrite. The North Dublin Senator has accused Fine Gael and Labour of ‘playing politics with people’s homes’ after they rejected legislation to provide a greater chance of redress to pyrite homeowners.
