Over 11,000 people, who previously had a full medical card, had their renewal application refused by HSE South in the first six months of this year, according to figures released to Cork South Central Fianna Fáil T.D. Michael McGrath. Almost 3,000 more people, who previously held a GP visit card, had that withdrawn following their application for renewal.
