Tánaiste welcomes funding for Pobalscoil Chloich Cheannfhaola

The grant assistance, provided under the Contingency Works Programme, will allow for the replacement of floor covering in the school.

Pobalscoil Chloich Cheannfhaola (PCC), established in 1973, is the only second-level school in the Dunfanaghy-Falcarragh-Gort a’ Choirce area of north-west Donegal. This wide catchment area stretches from Creeslough in the east to the parish of Gweedore in the west.

The school caters for students from diverse, almost all rural, backgrounds and currently there is an enrolment of approximately 600 with an even divide of male and female students. A high percentage of students are native Irish speakers and the school’s Irish stream has now developed into an Aonad Lán-Ghaelach where all the core subjects are delivered through the medium of Irish in mixed ability groups.
