Tánaiste welcomes funding for local roads

Funding has been allocated to the L1515-3 Ardaghey to Ardara road (€300,000) and the R263 Killybegs Industrial Road (€50,000).

“This money will go quite some distance to improving the infrastructure in South Donegal added to allocations which were made earlier this year.

“The funding for the Ardaghey to Ardara road will allow the widening works on that particular road to continue which brings to €600,000 the total approved for it this year.

“Clr Brendan Byrne and others have been working diligently on the new Industrial Road for Killybegs for almost four years, some €450,000 has now been approved to make this road a reality,” stated the Tánaiste.

The Minister for Transport, Noel Dempsey’ has indicated that his Department will be in contact with Donegal County Council shortly to advise them of the details.
