TALLAGHT HEROIN SEIZURE PROVES WAR ON DRUGS IS WORKING

Today’s drug seizure in Tallaght is a clear sign that the war on drugs is working.

I want to pay tribute to the Gardaí who today took €500,000 worth of heroin off our streets.

Of course, as a local representative, I am disappointed that these drugs were uncovered during an operation in my own constituency but it proves that Gardaí are determined to take this fight to every gang peddling drugs in our communities.

It is my firm view and that of Fianna Fáil’s Gardaí will continue to have the frontline resources necessary to continue this fight.

At this critical time in the fight against drugs and organised crime all parties should be giving the same solid commitment as Fianna Fáil.
