Bailieborough Fianna Fáil County Councillor, Niamh Smyth who topped the poll in the June 2009 Local Elections was elected Joint Treasurer of the Fianna Fáil National Councillors Executive in Leinster House last week.
Following the AGM held in Leinster House, which brings together all of the representatives of Fianna Fáil Town and County Councillors from across the state, Cllr. Niamh Smyth ‘It’s a great honour for me and the local Cavan Fianna Fáil organisation. We have a lot of work to do over the next number of years and I think there is massive role to be played by our local authority members in reinvigorating the Fianna Fáil organisation.’
