Dublin North Central TD, Minister for Lifelong Learning, Seán Haughey has welcomed the announcement by the Tánaiste and Minister for Education and Skills, Mary Coughlan TD, concerning details of the work that will be proceeding under her Department’s school building programme in 2011.
“Howth Road Mixed National School will be delighted to hear that the new extension and refurbishment will progress to secure planning permission with a view to preparing tender documents for 2011/12. In relation to St. Michael’s House Special School in Raheny, in 2011 completion of tender documents is expected, followed by a move to tender. The building project at Belgrove Junior and Belgrove Senior Boys Schools is already at the tender stage so work may commence in the near future”.
“This is welcome news for all concerned and illustrates the Government’s commitment to providing modern buildings for the education of our children”.
