O’Connor congratulates Tallaght school on Green Flag

Dublin South West T.D. Charlie O’Connor has congratulated Scoil Aonghusa Junior, Balrothery on their second Green Flag.

“Scoil Aonghusa has received the award for energy awareness.  This issue is really important.  We need more of our young people to be aware about energy use and consumption.”

“We’ve come a long way since the first Green Flag was hoisted at an Irish school back in 1998.  I’m delighted that schools in Tallaght are taking part in this scheme which rightly recognises their actions for the environment.”

“I look forward to seeing the programme continue to grow across our school system,” concluded Deputy O’Connor.
