Ireland West Airport Knock is set to benefit from a new bus service with up to seven daily drop offs, according to Mayo Fianna Fáil TD Beverley Flynn.
Welcoming the development, Deputy Flynn said:
“Starting from January 31 the Derry to Galway Bus Eireann bus will service Ireland West Airport Knock.”
“This is a significant boost for the airport and will make travelling from the airport even more convenient for people from across the region.”
“It will also make the arrival and departure procedure easier for tourists.”
“The bus will stop off at the airport in both directions, brining passengers south in the direction of Galway and north in the direction of Sligo and on to Derry.”
“Bus Eireann has confirmed that the Derry Bus will be at the airport at 6.55; 8.55; 10.55; 12.55; 14.53; 16.55 and 18.55 and the Galway bus will be at the airport at 7.45; 10.30; 12.15; 13.45; 15.55; 17.45 and 19.55.”
“The timetable will be different on Sundays but full details are available from Bus Eireann.”
“This improved connectivity is good news for the airport, and its customers,” concluded Beverley Flynn TD.
