New €19k library delivery van for Kerry - McEllistrim

Kerry is to get a replacement library delivery van according to local TD Thomas McEllistrim. The Government has provided Kerry County Council with a grant of €19,594 for the purchase of the vehicle from Kerry Motor Works.

Speaking about the announcement, Deputy McEllistrim said, "This funding is going to a very worthy cause. Kerry County Council has needed this replacement library van for some time now and I’m delighted that they will now be able to provide a more modern vehicle."

"Libraries are so important to any society. They play a huge role in education and also provide an excellent social centre for the community. Given the wide area of County Kerry it is not possible to have a library in every community but that is why provisions such as this library van are essential," Deputy McEllistrim concluded.
