Dublin South Central TD Michael Mulcahy has confirmed Dublin City Council is to receive €186.3 million for its housing programmes under the 2010 Housing Allocation by the Minister for Housing and Local Services, Michael Finneran TD.
“This is a significant funding announcement for Dublin City. The council is receiving €62.2 million for regeneration this year out of a total of €75.7 million for improvement works on the housing stock,” said Deputy Mulcahy.
“The funding for improvement works also includes €7 million for the retrofitting of homes to increase energy efficiency. This will have a very positive impact on the environment but will also reduce the cost of running the homes that are improved,” added Deputy Mulcahy.
