Dublin South West Fianna Fáil T.D. and Minister for Science, Technology, Innovation and Natural Resources Conor Lenihan has today spoke with Mr. Jim Mansfield and Martin Ferris, the Receiver appointed to the company trading as Citywest Hotel, Golf and Leisure.
"I met today with Mr. Jim Mansfield, his senior executive team and staff in Citywest who are working around the clock to ensure that the 400 full-time and 400 part time jobs are safe," said Deputy Lenihan.
"This business is viable and the troubles affecting it are to do with cash-flow rather than its operating cost structure which remains positive. I also spoke with the receiver Martin Ferris who has reassured me that protecting the jobs and preserving the business is his absolute priority.”
"The business at Citywest has potentially very valuable contracts in the education area from the Middle East. Everything must be done by the receiver and Bank of Scotland Ireland to ensure that these signed contracts can be fulfilled."
"I am very happy that the receiver, the company, Jim Mansfield and his family are working together to keep this business going and discussions are continuing in this regard," concluded Minister Lenihan.
