Local Fianna Fáil T.D. and Minister John Curran has condemned as “totally reprehensible” the fatal shooting of two men in Neilstown, west Dublin.
“This is a disgraceful crime, carried out with absolutely no regard for human life whatsoever and I condemn it in the strongest possible terms,” said Minister Curran.
“I know the people the Neilstown will be totally appalled to hear of this awful crime, regardless of the circumstances. There can be no justification for the taking human life.”
“I want to appeal directly to the community to co-operate with the Gardaí and I would urge anyone who has any information to come forward with that.”
“This Government is taking a very tough line on gang crime and we have backed that up with far-reaching anti-gang legislation. The Government and the Gardaí are determined to bring the full force of the law to bear on all those who seek to spread fear and murder,” concluded Minister Curran.
