Kitt welcomes further grants under Scheme of Community Support of Older People

Deputy Michael Kitt is pleased to be informed by Minister Pat Carey, T.D. that further groups are to receive funding under the Community Support of Older People Scheme.

The scheme in East Galway to receive funding is:

• Menlough Community Alert €3,558.66

‘This scheme assists older members of our community to stay in their own homes for longer. The funding which is administered by local community and voluntary organisations with the support of the Department of Community, Rural & Gaeltacht Affairs, goes towards the implementation of improved safety and security equipment for those over 65 years of age’ concluded Michael P.
