Kitt confirms funding for a Galway group under the Community Support of Older People Scheme

Deputy Michael Kitt is pleased to be informed by Minister of State, John Curran, T.D. that further groups are to receive funding under the Community Support of Older People Scheme totalling €60,599.86.

The scheme to receive funding in Galway is:

Lisheenkyle Castlelampert Palmerstown CA €1,765.

"This scheme assists older members of our community to stay in their own homes for longer and the funding which is administered by local community and voluntary organisations with the support of the Department of Community, Rural & Gaeltacht Affairs, goes towards the implementation of improved safety and security equipment for those over 65 years of age," concluded Michael P. Kitt, T.D.
