Kitt backs Delaney’s appeal to FIFA for a replay

Tom Kitt, Dublin South Fianna Fáil TD and Chairman of the Oireachtas Committee on Arts, Sports and Tourism said this evening that he strongly supported and welcomed the decision by Mr John Delaney of the FAI to appeal to FIFA and the French FA for a replay of last night’s Ireland France World Cup Qualifier soccer match.

Deputy Kitt said, "I am convinced that the FAI will have the support of the Irish people the length and breath of the country," said Deputy Kitt.

"I hope that the French FA in particular will respond, without delay, in a positive manner," he said.
