Longford Fianna Fail TD Peter Kelly has congratulated the winner of the Junior Inventor Competition, Kevin Sorohan who is in sixth class in Fermoyle National School in Lanesborough.
“The Junior Inventor Competition is run annually to mark Work Intellectual Property Day by the Patents Office.”
“The winning invention this year from Kevin was a seatbelt clasp light which is situated in the push button of a seatbelt. This will illuminate when the car seats are switched on to make it easier for the passengers to locate seat belt plugs in the dark.”
“I want to congratulate Kevin and his teachers at Fermoyle National School.”
“This is a fantastic invention and I know that Kevin’s teachers and friends will be very proud of his achievement,” concluded Deputy Kelly.
