John Browne T.D. welcomes the implementation of Summer Works Scheme

John Browne would like to welcome the announcement by Tanaiste Mary Coughlan T.D. of the Summer Work Scheme for schools under the SWS 2010 Scheme. Nationally there are €132 million worth of projects which have been approved by the Department of Education & Skills. The number of projects approved is of a record level following the current value for money in the construction industry. Works will be carried out in the schools during the Summer months to minimise disruption to schools programmes. The projects announced are devolved grants and should be carried out for the best interest of the schools approved and will improve the learning environment for all students.
