John Browne T.D. welcomes the 2010 Local Govt Fund Grant Allocations

An allocation of €1,002,000 of an additional allocation was made from the Local Government Fund to Wexford Co Co to assist the Council with running costs on their water and sewerage treatment plants and the sampling and licensing costs associated with same. There is an emphasis on a continuing priority being given to preserving and to protect our water resources to meet EU standards for Drinking water and wastewater treatment.

The amount allocated to Wexford Co Co should be paid to the authority by Mid August.
