Handover of new school in Grangegorman by Minister Haughey

The Minister for Lifelong Learning, Seán Haughey TD, today [Monday] officially handed over Dublin 7 Educate Together National School to the school's Board of Management.
The building project is a temporary two-storey 16-classroom primary school with special needs and ancillary accommodation.
Speaking at the school, Minister Haughey said: ‘I'm delighted to officially hand over the new school to the board of management.'
‘The move will come as a huge relief to the school's 222 pupils and 12 teachers who've been working up to now out of temporary premises in the Catholic Institute For The Deaf (CID) in Drumcondra.'
'The CID has plans to redevelop its site so it was necessary to find alternative temporary accommodation for the school this year.'
'The agreed permanent location for the school will also be a site in the Grangegorman campus and the exact location of this will be decided in due course in the context of the Grangegorman master planning process.'
‘I wish the teachers and parents every success and happiness in their new school,' said Minister Haughey.
