There was good news this week for two local schools as improvement work progressed according to Meath East Fianna Fáil TD Thomas Byrne.
“I was delighted to hear that Meath County Council issued a quick decision on the non-contentious planning application from Meath Hill National School enabling them to begin their works under the Summer Works Scheme. This means that the work will be completed as close as possible to the start of the school term.”
“Another local school, Drumconrath National School was allocated a further €17,000 in addition to their previous grant of €72,000 for their outdoor play area.”
“Both schools, their pupils and teachers will benefit greatly from the work to the interior and exterior of the buildings. This investment in these local schools will enhance the learning environment for all.”
“I would like to pay tribute to the principals, teachers and Boards of Management at both schools for their dedication. I was happy to be able to work with them and provide what assistance I could to help to secure this funding for the schools,” concluded Deputy Byrne.
