Good news for Carlow schools with announcement of Summer Works Scheme - Nolan

There was good news for Carlow schools today as the Summer Works Scheme was announced according to local Fianna Fail TD MJ Nolan.

“In total, 24 Carlow schools will benefit from the Summer Works Scheme.”

“A variety of work will take place including work to roofs and toilets, electrical and mechanical work as well as work to the external environment of the school.”

“It is vital, despite the constraints on the public finances that we continue to invest in schools.”

“Creating a positive physical environment for pupils helps to enhance their learning and it is important that we continue to invest in schools.”

“Carlow schools who are benefiting from the work will be contacted by the Department for details on how to proceed.”

“I am pleased that these works to local schools will also prove to be beneficial for local building firms also who will be in a position to tender for the work and create and secure local employment,” concluded Deputy Nolan.
