Welcoming the appointment by the Department of Social and Family Affairs, Senator Ellis said: “I welcome the move by the Minister, Mary Hanafin TD,  to allocate additional staff in the Leitrim MABS office to help people though, what is for a lot of people right now, a tough time financially.”

“The months after the Christmas period can be extremely stressful for families, and this year in particular will be tough for families who may be experiencing the loss of an income.”
