Funding boost for Longford libraries – Kelly

Longford County Council is to receive funding for a delivery van for the county’s libraries according to local Fianna Fail TD Peter Kelly.

“My colleague, the Minister of State at the Department of the Environment Michael Finneran has informed me that his Department will award €80,000 to Longford County Council for the purchase of a delivery van for the libraries in the county.”

“This new delivery van will benefit the local libraries has it will ensure the movement of books between the libraries which is good news for the borrowers who use the libraries.”

“I am encourage to hear that the use of libraries in Longford, as around the country, is on the rise and with the huge investment of €900,000 into the Ballymahon Library this is good news for Longford,” concluded Deputy Kelly.
