Ellis welcomes funding boost for Leitrim groups

The groups to benefit are as follows:

  The North Leitrim Women’s Resource Group - €109, 980

Lough Allen Community Development Programme - €99,640

  

Senator Ellis welcomed the funding, which was sanctioned by his colleague John Curran T.D., Minister of State (with special responsibility for Community Affairs and the National Drugs Strategy) at the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs.

  

“This funding will be used by the North two groups to cover the costs of staff and overhead costs.”

  “The Government is committed to supporting local organisations and targeting available resources at the most in need in our communities,” he said.
