Desks and Chairs for Rosses Community School - Cope

Pat the Cope Gallagher MEP has been advised by Mary Coughlan TD, Tanaiste and Minister for Education and Science that she has approved an application from the Rosses Community School for the provision of new school furniture which has not been replaced since the school was opened in 1978.

Furniture will consists of desks & chairs for the 450 students and staff. It is expected that the cost will be in the region of €20,000 subject to tenders received.

This is in addition to the funding granted under the Summer Works Scheme where an improved facility for car parking is currently under way.

Pat the Cope thanked Minister Coughlan for her prompt response to his representations on behalf of the Principal and Board of Management.
