Contract signed for Kildare Town Community School – Power

Kildare South Fianna Fáil TD Sean Power has welcomed the signing of a contract for the construction of the Kildare Town Community School that will see the amalgamation of St. Joseph’s Academy, Presentation Secondary School and Vocational School.

“This new school will provide 1000 pupil places and is due to be completed by the end of 2011.”

“The construction, which will also provide much needed jobs locally, is being managed by Macquarie Partnerships for Ireland under a Public Private Partnership with the Department of Education.”

“This new school will provide state of the art, modern facilities for pupils and teachers and will greatly enhance their learning experience.”

“I am delighted that this new school will be built so quickly. It is important to ensure that the minimum disruption is caused to pupils and teachers and that the school can plan for the future.”
