Cllr Crowe confirms over €80,000 for Dun Laoghaire Volunteer Centre

Cllr Gareth Crowe, Fianna Fáil local election candidate for Ballybrack, has confirmed the allocation of €80,643 funding for Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Volunteer Centre.
The funding, announced by the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, is part of a package of €2.8 million in 2009 for 21 Volunteer Centres throughout the country.
According to Cllr Crowe, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Volunteer Centre provides support, advice and information on policy issues to voluntary organisations, training on involving volunteers, assistance with developing new projects with volunteers and advice and information around best practice issues when working with volunteers.

Cllr Crowe continued: "I am pleased that this funding is being utilised for such a valuable resource in the community."
