Carty meets with New Zealand agriculture representatives

Posted on 19/10/09 by John Carty Government Spokesperson on Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in Seanad Eireann and Mayo Senator, John Carty, joined members of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in meeting with representatives from Meat and Wool New Zealand in Leinster House this week.

Meat and Wool New Zealand is the industry good body for red meat and wool in New Zealand.

The Meat and Wool New Zealand representatives met with Senator Carty and his colleagues to discuss issues of common interest such as the International Sheep meat Forum which was held recently in Brussels; the CAP; and the direction for agriculture in relation to climate change and sustainability.
