Carroll welcomes new jobs for Drogheda

Fianna Fáil Senator, James Carroll has welcomed the news that 50 new jobs will be created for Drogheda by MFG.com.

“MFG.com is the world’s largest online sourcing marketplace for the manufacturing sector and they are to create 50 new jobs for Drogheda.”

“The new jobs will be created over the next two years for MFG’s new Operations Centre which will serve Europe, the Middle East and Africa.”

“MFG.com connects buyers and suppliers in the global manufacturing sector and allows them to trade on-line and billions of dollars worth of serves, industrial components and textiles have been sourced on MFG.com since 2000.”

“Drogheda will be home for the Operations Centre which will provide customer technical support, sales and human resources.”

“Recruitment for the new positions will start immediately. I am confident that Drogheda and the surrounding areas will provide the high skilled and highly qualified workers necessary for MFG.com.”

“Investment by a leading high tech firm in Drogheda is very welcome news and is an indication to me that Drogheda has what it takes to attract high level investment.”

“I must commend the IDA for their work in attracting these jobs to Drogheda and I am hopeful that other such positions and companies will also be encouraged to set-up and expand here given the success of MFG.com,” concluded Senator Carroll.
