Byrne pays tribute to Dempsey

Meath East TD Thomas Byrne today paid tribute to Minister Noel Dempsey TD who has announced his retirement from politics.

"Noel Dempsey has been my principal mentor in politics. I am sad that he is retiring and I wish him all the best for the future. I know that I and the party can depend on him for support and help in the future."

"The torch is passing to a new young generation in Fianna Fail, nationally and in Meath. It is a challenging time for the party, but I am willing to lead that change," concluded Deputy Byrne, Fianna Fail's youngest TD.
