Building works get go-ahead at St Michael’s Special School – Senator Martin Brady

Local Fianna Fáil Senator, Martin Brady, has confirmed that progress has been made regarding the building project at St. Michael’s House Special School, Raheny.

Speaking today, Senator Brady, who has long campaigned on behalf of local schools in Dublin North East, said, “I am delighted that the Department of Education has approved the Stage 3 submission from the school, who can now apply for Planning Permission and move towards the design stage.”

“I understand that the Building Unit of the Department of Education will be in contact with the School Authorities shortly with further details.”

“St. Michael's School caters for pupils with a mild general learning disability.  There are approximately 160 pupils in the school ranging from four to eighteen years old.”

“The staff at St Michael’s carry out invaluable work with local children and provide a range of services to ensure that these children are given the same opportunities as every child. This building project will allow the school to continue to operate at the highest standard into the future,” added Senator Brady.
