Andrews welcomes jobs boost for Dublin

Dublin South East T.D. Chris Andrews has welcomed the news that PopCap Games plans to double its workforce in Dublin.

The local Deputy said, "US firm PopCap Games has confirmed plans to create 55 highly skilled jobs at its European Headquarters on Pearse Street in Dublin over the next three years."

"The Seattle-based firm established its base here six years ago and has since received a research and development grant from IDA Ireland. Following an increase in profits last year, it now plans to double its workforce to 110."

"This is just the latest in a series of jobs announcements by several leading global internet and computer firms who have chosen to invest in Dublin. It further strengthens our international reputation as a hub for high-tech industries," said Deputy Andrews.
