An Taoiseach Brian Cowen TD rows in behind Galway school Rowing Club fundraiser

An Taoiseach Brian Cowen TD has rowed in behind a fundraiser being organised by the Rowing Club of Galway City school, St Joseph’s College (The Bish), to raise funds for the club. He is pictured here at Government Buildings with FAI’s Packie Bonner, local TD Frank Fahey and three students from the club, Daniel Hindle (Corandulla, Co Galway), Dean Madden (Moycullen, Co Galway), and Aaran Kelly (Ballybrit, Galway City).

A 'rowathon' fundraiser being organised by the Club will take place on Shop Street in Galway City on July 29th – Ladies Day of the Galway Races – and will feature participation from a host of well known Galway figures. Funds raised will be used by the Club to cover costs of competing at home and abroad.
