Dublin North T.D. Michael Kennedy has welcomed the remedial works carried out on footpaths in Valleyview estate, Swords following a number of representations made to Fingal County Council on behalf of residents in the estate.
“I have been engaged with the Valleyview Resident Association over the summer and they sought my assistance in securing work to repair broken footpaths and other work in the estate. The residents have been very proactive in ensuring the estate is well maintained and safe. The issue of broken footpaths is very important as very serious injury could be caused to anyone who may trip and fall as a result of broken or dislodged concrete,” said Deputy Kennedy.
“I have been raising this matter with Fingal County Council and highlighting the need to ensure this work was carried out during the summer. I’m delighted to say the council has now repaired the footpaths.”
“I want to commend the Valleyview Resident Association for the pride they have taken in their estate and its appearance and I look forward to working with them again,” concluded Deputy Kennedy.
