Dublin North T.D. Michael Kennedy has welcomed the improvement works being carried out at Hamlet Lane in Balbriggan, describing the work as “extremely important for the safety of pedestrians and motorists as well as a boost for local businesses.”
“Fingal County Council is constructing a new footpath on the southern side of Hamlet Lane from the Bremore Road junction to Bremore Castle Housing Estate. I have been informed that this work will begin in the coming week. This is very important as it will provide further safety for pedestrians,” added Deputy Kennedy.
“There will also be further work in the coming weeks consisting of the re-construction of the road and drainage works. The Main Street is already being re-surfaced which will be warmly welcomed by motorists and the growing population of the town.”
“I’m very glad Fingal County Council is proceeding with this work. I believe the improvements around Balbriggan Town will also be important for local traders. Keeping Balbriggan accessible, safe and clean will bring more business into the town and help boost the local economy,” concluded Deputy Kennedy.
